Can I get a refund on my tickets?

There are no refunds on purchased tickets. If for some reason you will not be able to attend, we can transfer registration to someone else. You must contact us to have this arranged.

Is photography or video allowed?

Absolutely. We’d love for you to share with us your pictures and videos.

Is the exhibit itinerary set in stone?

No. We’re adding new things to our itinerary each week. Some of the gaming stations and tournaments may change months before the event. Just keep posted and let us know if you have any suggestions!

Are gaming tournaments open to all attendees?

You need to register to compete in the gaming tournaments. We’re working on the details. Make sure to check the schedules for each individual game for updates.

Does it cost anything to register for the tournaments?

Only competitive tournaments require a $10 entry fee. All other casual tournaments and free play stations are free to play by all attendees.

Will there be a PC LAN event?

We’re working on it!

What about table top games?

We’re working on this too.

Can I purchase a VIP ticket and what will it include?

We are in the process of creating a package for VIP guests. There will be exclusive panels, VIP access to various exhibits including retro arcade, meet and greet events, and many other perks. We plan to have a VIP package available before September.

Will I be able to upgrade my standard weekend pass to VIP?

Depending on original promotion used to purchase weekend pass, registered attendee may be given the option to upgrade their pass to VIP within two weeks when the VIP ticket becomes available. Please contact us to make this arrangement. Unfortunately we cannot upgrade weekend passes purchased through Sweet Deals. ECC did not capture payments on this promotion and is not able to issue the refund to complete the upgrade.

When will I receive my badge?

Badges will be provided at the box office to attendees that have purchased weekend passes.

Why did Emerald Coast Con book their event so close to Fandom Con?

October 23rd – 25th were the only dates the convention center had available. Events that are hosted at the convention center reserve the right to book the following year which makes it quite difficult to book an event at all. If you are an avid fan of cosplay or anime and can only afford one event this Fall, we encourage you to attend Fandom. They have worked hard to earn their audience, they put on a great convention, and are more than worthy of the support.

What kind of panels will be hosted at Emerald Coast Con?

Many of the panels at ECC will be gaming related. We are working to get schools on board to showcase computer science and computer animation courses. SuperCon 2K, our tournament organizers, will be bringing indie game developers to demo their projects and discuss gaming education. Multigenre and pop culture themed panels are also a possibility depending on panel scheduling and availability.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

No. However, all children must be accompanied by an adult.

What can/can’t I bring to the event?

No real weapons, drugs, alcohol, or soliciting material. Seriously, no soliciting material.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?

Sure. If you purchase a badge and want to transfer to someone else, email us at info@emeraldcon.com. We will work it out with you.

Is there a discount for kids?

Children 10 and under are free.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Just to be safe, I would.

Can we leave the event and come back later?

Yes. Once you receive your wristband or badge, you can come and go as you please.
